Fire caused a major outage at Fisher Plaza Datacenter, impacting sites including Dotster, Bing Travel, and Authorize.net. When Auth.net’s systems go down, a lot of companies hurt. There is no word on whether or not Dotster hosting went down.

Dotster just launched a new consulting service called MyPR offering consulting on a variety of topics including blogs, podcasts, and press releases. Their prices are high, and perhaps not appropriately targeted for the majority of Dotster customers.
